Quality management can be tricky. I’m not saying it based on my own but on my last customer experience. And the level of difficulty is even higher if you try to put it to the computer application. And this experience I’ve gained.
As a business process automation specialists we’ve been asked to solve the problem with scheduling tools controls and services. By tools I mean couple of thousands different details used on the automotive production line. The customer’s quality control department has to check them periodically. The problem was that different tolls has different revision period combined with several dependencies.
Vialutions’ job was to create a dedicated algorithm which covers all this differences and dependencies based on given information from the customer. Custom solution as web based application visible only inside customer’s intranet was prepared. We have built it on .NET platform and connect with SQL data base. Finally we prepared the structure of the data base, the front-end user interface and two most important functionalities: revision algorithm and revision planning tool with calendar and reports engine.
Since the beginning of this week our QC application is running at customer side. So far the feedback is close to: “perfect” :)
